2017 North Liberty Community Pantry Taste and Tour Open House

The Taste & Tour gives the community an opportunity to meet and greet staff members, learn about NLCP services and volunteer opportunities, and check out Growing Together Garden, a collaborative learning space. “We want to share stories about our season of hard work, learning, and fun with fruits and vegetables,” stated Ilsa DeWald, Volunteer and Garden Coordinator. “And, there is still time to get involved this season in the garden and all year round at NLCP.”

Tours of the pantry and garden will be led by staff, volunteers, and members of the Board of Directors. Attendees will also be able to taste garden to table recipe samples and view a sneak peek of a new NLCP logo. “Hosting this event helps us to cultivate a community of neighbors helping neighbors,” stated Kaila Rome, Executive Director. “All are welcome and encouraged to visit with us and see first-hand the ways in which we impact our community.”
