Letter Carriers' Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive - National Association of Letter Carriers

Each year, letter carriers across the country head out on their routes on the second Saturday in May to collect donations of non-perishable food items to benefit local food pantries. Since launching in 1993, the National Association of Letter Carriers’ annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive has grown into the nation’s largest one-day food drive, helping to fill the shelves of food banks in cities and towns throughout the United States.

Hammers and Hardhats Auction Fundraiser

Hammers and Hardhats is back! Hosted in the heart of Hawkeye Land, this can’t-miss evening brings our community together for a night of fun, connection, and impact, supporting Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build. Hammers and Hardhats is an auction fundraising event. Together, we’ll celebrate the strength, leadership, and generosity of women helping build stronger foundations for families across our community. Blood Drive - UI Health Care Fountain Lobby

The DeGowin Blood Center is hosting a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday April 16th, 2026, at the University of Iowa Health Care Medical Center Fountain Lobby on the ground floor.

When donating, remember to:

· Provide a photo ID

· Drink plenty of fluids and have a good meal before you donate

· Be free of cold or flu symptoms for five days

· Bring a list of the medications you take

Rally & Rise for Hunger Pickleball Tournament - CommUnity Crisis Services

Join us on Sunday, April 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a pickleball tournament to feed our neighbors in crisis!🎾🍎

This mixed doubles tournament will include a fun afternoon of competition with a minimum of 5 matches played. Sign up with a partner or individually to be matched up with a partner for the day! Registration costs $29.99 per person.

This event starts with an optional free beginner pickleball lesson at 9 a.m. led by Mya from Pickleball Johnson County, in case you’d like to practice your swings before the tournament starts!

Prom ReRun

Prom ReRun is an event program offering donation and free pickup opportunities for gently used formal apparel, such as dresses, suits, and shoes.

Johnson County high school students and community members can donate quality gently used items or pick up items at no cost.

As part of Prom ReRun, there will be six separate locations where residents can drop off items during the first two weeks of March. A pickup event where the collected items are available for free will be held on March 14, 2026.
