  This year's campaign is focused on being "United in Purpose" and collaborating among various sectors and organizations in the local community. The event aims to bring together all community members from different backgrounds to work towards common goals in addressing shared challenges throughout Johnson & Washington Counties.

Join the Iowa City Public Library Friends Foundation for a lecture with writer Ilyon Woo benefiting the Iowa City Public Library. The lecture will be followed by a Q&A. Pre-signed copies of books will be available for purchase from Prairie Lights in the lobby at the event. 10% of book purchases will be donated back to the Library. North Liberty Community Pantry's 15th Annual Stone Soup Supper is an opportunity to build community between neighbors who need a warm meal, and neighbors who can provide that free meal. An old German folk tale involves hungry travelers who persuade local townsfolk to give them food by introducing them to Stone Soup. Although they started out with a stone in a pot of water, villagers each added garnishes of carrots, other vegetables, and spices ending up with a wonderfully nutritious and delicious soup for all the community to enjoy.
