4Cs mission is to make a difference by ensuring all children, regardless of barriers, receive a quality early childhood experience that provides a foundation for lifetime success. Programs support the childcare workforce through education, consultation, and other resources to aid with retention in the field and works closely within the refugee and immigrant population to identify individuals to work in the childcare field. 4Cs administers the federal food program to promote healthy eating, fostering brain growth during its most rapid time, from birth to five years. Other services include crisis childcare for Johnson County families when emergent childcare needs arise, operating the Home Ties Child Care Center which cares for children primarily on childcare assistance. Families experiencing crisis, such as homelessness, may receive free care while working on personal goals, such as finding permanent housing, reliable transportation, or stable employment.
